New arrivals settling in
Two horses have joined us this month — both quiet, gentle souls finding their feet.

Rescue, rehabilitation and long-term care — giving every animal a safe place to rest, recover and simply be.
Jasper's Rest is a small, family-run sanctuary nestled in rural Queensland. We take in horses who have been abused, starved, surrendered, or simply have nowhere else to go — and we give them what they need most: food, medical help, time, space, gentle therapeutic retraining and the chance to feel safe again.
Every horse heals at their own pace, on their own terms. Those that can move on to another career get the quality, consistent training they deserve — and are monitored for the rest of their days so no horse is ever exposed to any kind of suffering again.
The term 'Jasper's Rest' refers to the deep rest and sleep a being needs after a period of trauma when they are in a stable and safe space again — to come back to peace, health and balance. This period can extend from days to months.

We step in for horses who have been abused, starved, neglected, surrendered or simply forgotten.
Veterinary care, farrier work, good feed and patient handling, for as long as it takes. We also have a full-time trainer on site who retrains horses with the potential to go on to other careers or become part of our therapy program.
A permanent, peaceful home for animals who deserve to spend their days feeling safe.
Days here move at the pace of the animals. There are paddock checks at dawn, gentle grooming sessions, quiet moments under the gums and the steady rhythm of care that recovery needs.

Jasper's Rest welcomes genuine connections with people, organisations and equine professionals who care about the long-term welfare of horses and animals.
